WANT A FLAT BELLY? DO THESE EXERCISES EVERY DAY

Most of us dream of having a flat tummy. A toned and flat belly doesn’t just make you look great but is also an indicator of good health. Excessive fat in the abdomen is often a risk factor for several diseases. It takes a lot of effort to get into the desired shape even after following a strict exercise regime and diet. Remember, consistency is the key to achieving the desired results.

Let’s check out five exercises for a flat tummy:

Crunches

This exercise will benefit by toning and tightening the muscles of the stomach. Moreover, it doesn’t require any additional equipment.

How to do:

Roll a mat and lie on your back. Ensure that your knees are bent with the feet flat on the ground also the hips-width apart. Now hold your hands by your ears gently, pulling the abs in the inward direction. Then, slowly lift your shoulders and the upper body portion away from the ground. Exhale and go as far as you can, hold and gradually return to the starting position. Do at least 15-25 repetitions. 

Planks

Considered one of the best calorie-burning exercises, holding a plank for 60 seconds with a minimum of three sets tends to assist you in losing belly fat. This exercise requires stamina and balance. Doing this exercise will help in strengthening your core and help burn fat around the abdomen area. Try variations of plank exercise like side planks.

Tip: Practising to hold the correct position will help you achieve your target.

Bicycle Crunch

You must try this exercise if you are ardent to get a flat stomach. It works on all the muscles of the abdomen.

How to practise:

Lie on your back and your palms under your head. Now, lift your legs till they make a 90-degree angle. Then, twist your body, and ensure the right hand is on your head, bringing your right elbow pointing towards the left knee and repeating with the other left side.

Note: Don’t do this exercise in haste. Remember to go slow with the pace.

Boat Pose or Navasana

Introducing boat exercise into your daily routine is a challenging task. However, all that effort will not go in vain. Indulging in this exercise will help you reach the goal of getting a flat stomach.

How to do:

Sit on the floor with your knees bent. Subsequently, lean back on your sitting bone and tailbone and raise your legs to form a V-shape position. Next, lift your arms as they appear parallel to the floor and palms facing inwardly. Try holding the position for up to one minute and repeat it another 2-3 times.

Mountain Climbers

This exercise will help you get a perfectly-sculpted body and get to lose that lower belly fat.

How to do:

To do this exercise, first, get into a plank position i.e. on your hands and toes. Make sure that your shoulders are wide apart from each other. Then, bring your right knee towards your chest and back to the starting position and try to do the same with alternate legs. Once you master this position, try to add more pace to it.

Note: Make sure your upper body is not moving during the exercise.
