The definition of health can be rightly quoted as “The ability of a body to adapt to new threats and infirmities”. We can say that this definition is very suitable today as the world continues to battle one of its biggest challenges, the COVID – 19 pandemic. This viral attack has brought a halt to our lives and shut down town, cities and even countries. We are still figuring out that how exactly our lives will be impacted or upto what extent things will change in coming days.

Survival is the prerequisite to having a life. In future this thought is going to command the thought process of majority of people. As rightly said by  Honourable PM Mr. Narendra Modi during one of his broadcasts in lockdown “Jaan h to Jahan hai”. A new mantra of life is wearing masks, washing hands, sanitisation and social distancing which is compulsory while we we interact socially or working at the office or going out shopping. This new habit is likely to be carried forward in future also.

Future represents an exponential growth in the online search for health and associated subjects. The most searched after topic include “Anosmia” or “loss of smell”.  So we can say search and self awareness will become a vital component of well-being in the future.

The only source of information on health will no longer be a doctor, greater number of people are now turning to variety of digital platforms to understand their health issues and concerns. Digital platforms are enhancing the actions of the consumer, to process the information about health and take necessary actions.

Another important health trend is building immunity, which is an important shield against COVID – 19 and many other diseases in the coming days. Immune supplements have also taken a leap ahead. The purchase of immune supplement is going to witness an augmentation. More and more people will possibly turn to vitamins and supplements to try and stay healthy.

Looking into these health trends we can say that people are trying all the methods to stay protected and healthy. These changes in health trends are more likely to be beneficial and aid us to stay safe. Good health is a part of every prayer now!
